Introducing Josephine DesLauriers. She joined our team recently as the Vice President of People and her role will be integral as we scale for growth, amplify our recruitment drive and prepare for our pending merger with Hiku Brands.
Josephine brings a refreshing outlook and strategic vision that aligns closely with WeedMD’s core values system: “A successful development plans goes well beyond expanding production and buildings – it’s also about expanding our greatest resources – our people and our culture. Establishing strong organizational roots will yield a strong cohesive team and I’m very impressed with the promise of success I see in our WeedMD team.”
An award-winning executive, she brings over 15 years of proven leadership in a variety of HR-related functions such as transformation management, organizational development, strategic planning and talent acquisition.
As a trusted advisor to many Boards of Directors, she’s widely recognized in the health-care sector for her work in seniors care/housing, hospital and community care. Her industry insights, knowledge and networks will be integral as we build and propel our team for the next level of success.
A graduate from Western University’s Psychology program, Josephine holds two degrees, including a Bachelors of Management & Organizational Studies as well as the Human Resources Management Certification from Seneca College.
Josephine is a strong proponent of continued education and went back to school post-graduation to acquire a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution. It could come in handy for this former rugby player, now that she is a mother of two young kids!
Josephine currently divides her time between Aylmer, Strathroy and the corporate office in Toronto – where she is currently based.
